Nerikomi Workshop
Nerikomi Workshop
This 4-week course introduces you to Nerikomi, an ancient Japanese decorative ceramic process, to which we bring a contemporary twist. Starting with white porcelain powder, you will make your own coloured balls of clay. We will show you how to roll, wrap and slice the clay (think Brighton rock!), creating kaleidioscopoic patterns. These are then formed into thin slabs which you will make into decorative ware using a plaster moulds. Beads, buttons and pieces of jewellery can also be created.
No experience is necessary. All materials and firing included in the course fee of £120
