Learn to Throw 6-week course
This is the course to get you started on the wheel from the ground up. No previous experience necessary. With expert instruction in a small group, you will gain the skills and confidence to throw, throwing, glaze and fire your first pots.
New day class starting in October.
Tutors: Karen Groves & Maisie Sawyer
Fee includes instruction, materials, studio glazes, and firing.
Refund Policy: If for any reason you are unable to attend the course you have booked, a full refund will be given up to 4 weeks before the start of the course. Half refunds are available between 4 & 2 weeks before the start date and for less than 2 weeks we are unable to offer refunds unless the place can be taken by someone else, in which case we refund you less £50 admin costs.
Rebecca Fox is joining us at Clay Studio
Rebecca Fox is a ceramic artist, coming from New York to teach and work in Nottingham. She was born to a British American family and attended university in the United States, where she received her degree in Art, focusing on ceramics. Rebecca has spent the last few years teaching a variety of clay classes in the US, both at university and at local art centers. She has recently been interested in throwing with locally sourced raw clay on the wheel to push the limits of unprocessed materials.
